Hangovers refer to the after effects that occur after consuming excessive amounts of a drug. Most frequently hangovers are related to alcohol consumption. Symptoms of hangovers are characterized by fatigue, headache, vertigo, sensitivity to light and sound, thirst, red eyes, aching muscles, irritability, and sickness. Hangovers are cured by reducing the alcohol consumption to avoid exacerbation or recurrence of the condition. Medication, plenty of fluids, sleep, Ayurveda, herbal remedies, acupressure, and food therapy may also be applied to ease symptoms.
