Dysphasia refers to a language disorder typified by a difficulty communicating. Patients might have trouble talking, comprehending, concentrating, listening, writing, or completing numerical calculations, even though they are able to think clearly with unaffected intelligence. Dysphasia usually results from some sort of brain injury, and can be treated with speech therapy. Preventative measures worth noting include no smoking and controlled blood pressure.
