Bullying is the use of power, force or abuse practiced by a single or group of people to aggressively intimidate another person or group. Bullying comes in a range of different forms (physical, emotional, online) and may be real or simply threatened. Usually, bullying is repeated and comes from a perception of the bully being more powerful than the vulnerable bullied. People react to bullying in a myriad of ways, and signs someone might be a victim include withdrawal, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders and avoiding of certain situations. Treatments that might help include counseling, talking to an authoritative body, and behavioural therapy.
