Alzheimer’s disease is the most pervasive form of dementia. Alzheimer’s is a progressive, condition, beginning with short-term memory loss that leads to cause brain degeneration, a loss of cognitive function and, eventually, death. Symptoms vary on a case-by-case basis, but typical signs include confusion, irritability, withdrawal, aggression, mood swings and an inability to articulate thoughts and feelings easily. While the condition is incurable, treatments such as mental stimulation, supportive care, drug therapy, herbal medicine, and vitamin therapy can alleviate and control symptoms.
