Scabies is caused by mites and is a highly infectious skin disease that results in itchy areas with oozing crusts. The typical symptoms of scabies are itching and irritation of the skin, with a red rash or red spots appearing in some cases. Treatment for scabies is usually through prescription creams or lotions, and linen and clothing should be washed in hot water. Ayurveda and homoeopathy may also help.
