Insomnia


Insomnia is characterized by the inability to sleep through an entire the night or difficulty maintaining continuous sleep. Causes of insomnia may be various, but can be affected by such things as stress, depression, an excessive consumption of caffeine, instability of daily routines and pain from recurring illnesses. Insomnia may be treated with medication, such as sleeping aids, altering established sleeping habits, Ayurveda, herbal medicine, relaxation techniques, Yoga, progressive muscle relaxation, aromatherapy, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, and Feng Shui.
