Infertility refers to the difficulty or inability to have children. The condition is characterized as infertility, when pregnancy have not occurred after a year of unprotected intercourse. Infertility does not only cover the inability to become pregnant, but may also refer to the inability to carry a child to full term. Infertility may be treated with the traditional such as artificial insemination, hormonal therapy and IVF. Alternative treatment methods may involve acupressure, acupuncture, naturopathy, mind-body therapies, the Hindu traditional medicine, Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, reflexology, massage, psychotherapy and nutritional therapy.
