What is Reiki?
The word Reiki means universal life energy and it's made up of two Japanese characters, rei meaning universal and ki meaning life force. Reiki is a form of healing that works on the energy field that is within and around the body. Essentially, the practitioner or healer channels the energy from the universe into the person receiving the treatment and as such receives the healing energy themselves as well. It does not drain the healer in any way at all. It can be used for physical healing and it can also be used for stress reduction, relaxation and the renewal of energy. Reiki is gentle and non invasive but powerful.
