Counselling and Psychotherapy
People often come to psychotherapy in a time of crisis. You may feel lost or stuck, overwhelmed or out of control in some way. This may be a result of relationship issues, uncertainty about the direction of your life, grief, anxiety or depression. Life transitions such as moving out of home for university, ending or beginning relationships, career crossroads, becoming a parent or moving countries can all lead to questions about identity and purpose.
Suffering, confusion and distress may be due to experiences that have happened recently or experiences from your past. I will listen empathically and help you to talk about things that perhaps you have never talked about with anyone before. Together we may look at what has happened in your past, what is happening in your life currently and also how we relate to each other. We will work to develop a better understanding of who you are and how you relate to others.
Psychotherapy can increase your awareness of unconscious factors that may be influencing your life, including past hurts, giving you opportunities to work through that which has been unfinished or stuck and to make contact with the possibilities that are here and now.
Beginning counselling/psychotherapy can be a big decision. You are very welcome to phone or email me to ask any questions before making an initial appointment. It is also fine to make a one off appointment to begin with to see if I feel like the right person for you.
English is my first language and I am also a native French speaker.
Fee
My fee is $80 for a 50 minute session.
24 hr notice of cancellation is required or standard fee charged
