I work with a very wide range of people of with very different stories. There is no issue that is brought to counselling that I have not worked with. I have worked in both New Zealand and USA in a range of settings including - an Adoption Unit, a Community Mental Health Clinic, a Rape Crisis Centre, Lifeline International, and a group Psychology Practice.
I established a private counselling practice in Whangaparaoa in early 2001 and within that practice worked for the Family Court with couples, with ACC for abused persons and for an Employment Assistance Programme. I work with a number of therapeutic modalities including-Narrative, Cognitive Behavioural. Solution-Focussed, Emotional Freedom Technique(tapping) and Mindfullness. I have specialised training in relationships and couples work and am a trained Sex Therapist. While in the USA I added Life Coaching to my skills.
I work from a holistic approach having a strong belief in the mind body connection. I believe it is important to work along side clients to identify and reach their goals
