ABOUT
Daniel Moore qualified from the London School of Osteopathy in 1989 and since then has performed over 100,000 treatments, and more than half a million manipulations.
Influenced by his involvement in martial arts, and two years full-time professional dance training, Dan’s early focus was on treating sports related injuries. Nowadays though, his attention is on treating back pain, neck pain, and the injuries people get doing everyday things like housework, gardening, carrying babies, and DIY.
Dan is a structural osteopath. He uses a range of hands-on techniques like; stretching, massage, mobilization, and manipulation. His treatment style is direct yet always gentle.
As an expert on physical training, Dan routinely prescribes exercise as a key part of the rehabilitation process. Dan has worked as a fitness instructor, and developed a special exercise class for people with back problems, which he taught for 12 years in the UK.
During a sabbatical from clinical practice, Dan completed a three-year bachelors degree in applied communications at Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) here in New Zealand. In Dan’s words, “ communication is a vital part of my practice, I like to ensure that my patients are clear about what they want and about what I can provide”.
