We use small doses of substances to kick start the bodies own healing processes, its a gentle and effective way to help you back to health and away from dis-ease.
Homeopathy is a very individualised system it is unusual for people with the same illness, say migraines, to need the same remedy. We look for how an individual expresses and responds to their symptoms and prescribe from there.
When prescribed appropriately the remedies are safe even during pregnancy and for babies. They will stimulate the bodies own innate healing to create better health and wellness.
WHO AM I?
I graduated the Bay of Plenty College of Homeopathy in 2009 and have had a small home based practice both here in New Zealand and also in Western Australia. I have now come back to settle in the beautiful Oaro Valley south of Kaikoura and as my children have grown I have found more time to pursue my passion for health through homeopathy. I also integrate health coaching and wellness plans into my practice and am currently studying further into nutrition/life coaching and the Intentional Grace technique.
I have used homeopathy myself for over 12 years throughout pregnancies, labour and the lives of my children and extended family with fantastic results, it is the only form of medicine we use.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
During our time together I will be asking you to tell me about your unique symptoms and ways in which you express 'dis-ease' or being 'out of balance'. The consultation is approximately 1-2 hours long and include gaining information about your personal and family health history.
Although I am trained as a Classical Homeopath I will sometimes suggest other support remedies to help your journey to health and wellness. These can include Flower Essences, probiotics, over the counter supplements and others.
Towards the end of our consultation I will use Kinesthetic Resonance testing (subtle muscle testing) to assist with the prescribing of the appropriate remedy for you. This technique is also helpful when the body has different sensitivities to foods, chemicals etc.

At 39 weeks pregnant, developing a very painful, protruding Hemorrhoid was enough to put the calmest woman into a spin! After being told by my midwife, who was renowned for her very natural, alternative practice, there was nothing I could do at that stage of my pregnancy to rid the beast, I quickly become very anxious to say the least. I was 7 days overdue with my 2nd child and had tried all the natural ways to bring on labour, walks, hot baths and even hot curries!! I was told my baby was posterior which would make labour difficult to go into labour. I phoned Emma and asked if she had any ways in her practice that she was able to help turn baby. I remember it well. At 1.45pm I took a remedy and by 2.15pm I was on my hands and knees and my baby was turning! It wasn't so much excruciating, I think I was to in shock to believe it was happening, a natural remedy was turning my baby! I started to relax, with my 12 month old son crawling around me, wondering what was going on at around 3.30pm. My husband arrived home at 4pm and pop went my waters at 4.30pm!
