I use a modality of counselling called Hakomi. It is a mindfulness based body-centred approach. Because we use mindfulness - observing how the body and mind are responding in the present moment - the work accesses important core beliefs and attitudes quickly. Mindfulness is also a skill that you can use to reduce stress in your life that can greatly alleviate the pain of what you may be going through.

I offer both short and long term work in a confidential and safe setting. I work with individuals only. I have experience with parents, young people and older women. I am experienced with working with traumatised people and this is my particular talent. I adhere to the NZAP Code of Ethics and value ethical and professional practice highly.
I see clients in Kapiti and in Central Wellington, my fee is $90 per session with a limited number of lower cost appointments available for low income earners.

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
I am trained in Person Centred Counselling, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Hakomi Therapy.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the Psychotherapists Board of Aotearoa New Zealand (2013), a Provisional Member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists (2013), hold a Post Graduate Certificate of Advanced Psychotherapy Practice from AUT (2012), and I am a Graduate of the three year Hakomi Professional Training (2009).
