Massage can prevent or relieve soft tissue dysfunction
Massage on the Bays Even minor injuries can hamper our ability to stay active and interfere with our day to day lives. Tired and sore muscles can alter our body’s posture and movement patterns which if ignored can lead to chronic pain, stiffening of joints and discomfort.
Massage can:-
- Prevent injury
- Maintain flexibility
- Increases range of movement
- Reduce healing time
- Alleviate pain
- Aid relaxation
How hard/firm should the massage be?
Ultimately the pressure used in your massage is guided by you. The more feedback you can give your therapist on how it feels (too hard, too soft) the better your massage will be for you. How firm or deep you want a massage differs from day to day, the body area massaged and how you feel generally within yourself that day. You are the only one who knows how it feels.
Deep tissue work / neuromuscular therapy (NMT) can involve short periods of therapeutic pain. Sometimes called a “good hurt” or “good pain” but this lasts momentarily and should dissipate quickly. This type of treatment usually involves working on a “muscle knot” or a sore point.
Introductory Offer
$60 for a one hour massage (usually $80). Applies to 1st 60 minute massage only and not in conjunction with any other offer.
