About Tania Tania is a parent of 4 delightful children and has been using Homeopathy since 2000 when she discovered that Homeopathy could successfully help her son with his chronic ear infections.
This discovery sparked a commitment to study and a passion to dedicate her professional career to bringing about positive change in people’s lives through the use of Homeopathy.
One of the key areas that Tania works with is families, which is where ‘Helping Create Healthy Families’ comes into being.
Working with children and alongside them, with their families is an area that Tania enjoys immensely. She brings together the wisdom and experience of parenting mixed with compassion, realism and understanding. Thoroughly enjoying the spiritedness of youth and believing firmly that this is to be celebrated and channeled in a positive direction rather than suppressed, is one of the cornerstones to her practice.
Tania has a commitment to providing dynamic and professional Homeopathic care and excels in identifying and helping release blocked patterns in people’s lives.
About HomeopathyHomeopathy is a natural and safe system of medicine. It aims to stimulate the body’s own healing forces to bring it to a state of balance, and by doing so optimizes overall health and well being.
Discovered over 200 years ago, Homeopathy focuses on the client as an individual and is dynamic in its capacity to encompass all aspects that make someone truly unique, through their physical, mental and emotional expressions.
One analogy Tania uses with her clients is that of the picture of a garden:
“We each have within us a paradise - a potentially beautiful garden, which has the soil to grow many different varieties of plants, weeds and trees.
Some people’s gardens are more susceptible to certain conditions than others. Through the use of Homeopathic remedies we help weed out these susceptibilities, thereby getting rid of the source of the imbalance in the body whether it is physical, emotional or mental.
ConsultationsAn initial consultation for an adult is 1 ½ hours and for a child 1 hour.
Each time a remedy is prescribed a follow up appointment is booked, so that a clear re-assessment of the remedy’s effectiveness can be made. This allows us to repeat the remedy, increase the strength or change the remedy if needed. Follow up appointments are 1 hour for adults and ½ hour for children.
There is a pool of around 2,000 Homeopathic remedies that can be prescribed from with new remedies being discovered all the time, and Tania will always be looking to find the ONE remedy out of the thousands that suits you as an individual.
Finding the one remedy is a specialist field and there is much work involved for the Homeopath in order to do this. During the consultation there is a lot of information that is being processed and integrated, with Tania often taking a ‘bird’s eye view’ to identify themes, patterns and symptom pictures.
You can expect Tania to write notes and to ask you questions relating to your current symptoms, previous Health history, food preferences, sleep, body temperature and mental and emotional states. Sometimes the remedy is found by identifying unusual symptoms – so the more information you can pass on – even if it seems peculiar, the better. Any information shared is kept completely confidential.
Some of the virtues that Tania aspires to in her practice as a Homeopath, are those of compassion, professionalism and non-judgment.
To be listened to without being categorized into a box and to be allowed freedom of expression without fear of judgment, is an experience that many people have never had. It is Tania’s commitment to create this kind of sacred space during the Homeopathic Consultation in order to bring about optimum health and change.
If you are bringing a child there are toys & books they can play with and read during the consultation. If there are things you don’t wish to discuss in front of your child, it can be helpful to write some notes and bring them along to the consultation.
