About Richard I moved from the UK in 2006 permanently after falling in love with New Zealand, and I’ve never looked back.
I’ve always been involved with sports and fitness throughout my life and have a passion for helping people reach their goals, whether it’s learning to play a sport, or motivation for getting the most out of life.
For the past three years I have been working in Auckland at Bodytech Viaduct as Head Supervisor and Personal Trainer, where I’ve had the opportunity to work very closely with Jay Harrison. Jay is a Master Trainer and has in the past been responsible for training Les Mills trainers, so I feel privileged to have gained much knowledge from him.
I believe in the old wisdom, “Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to use the Net and he won’t bother you for weeks.” No, just kidding! “Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime.”
This sums up my training philosophy: it’s not just about getting you fitter and healthier while you’re training with me, it’s also about creating safe, sustainable habits, so you continue being fit and healthy long after your training has finished.
