Welcome to Coach JohnAfter 30 years in the helping professions ( Counselling, Social Work, Supervision and Training and Management), I decided to concentrate on Coaching as it provided an excellent model for proactive change and empowerment.
After graduating with a BA I completed two postgraduate Diplomas, - the first in Social Work, and the second in Education (in Guidance Studies).
I am not a therapist and do not wish to be. Professionally I have been influenced by some of the Postmodern models, such as Narrative and Solution Focussed work. These focus on empowering the individual for their own change, rather than an “expert” providing some interpretation of someone’s life.
