Baby Massage
Having a Baby, being a Parent, is a loving experience but sometimes it’s difficult and exhausting! Baby Massage is a loving positive activity for you and your Baby; building a relationship of trust and love.
Baby Massage aids Baby’s development, build muscle tone, co-ordination and flexibility. Babies become more aware of their bodies and tactile sensations. It can help with weight gain, particularly in pre-term infants, colic and reflux. It also teaches Baby to relax and can improve sleeping patterns.
Baby Massage is beneficial for You too! It allows you quality time with your baby, without guilt, and can reduce feelings of depression.
Classes are run on an on-demand basis. There are 5 weekly sessions of about 90 minutes. Classes are small, relaxed and tea and coffee is provided. Cost is $60 (2011) which includes handouts and oils.

Massage

I perform Relaxation Massage using my skills in Swedish Massage, Reflexology and Reiki. After a treatment you will feel pampered, your body loose, free of tension and relaxed.

Reflexology
If you like having your feet rubbed or are uncomfortable undressing for a massage then this is the treatment for you.
Reflexology is a specialised massage performed primarily on the feet to help sooth, calm and rebalance. It is based on the principle that your whole body is reflected in your feet and hands. It can help with tiredness, lack of sleep, headaches, constipation or stress for example. During a treatment I use gentle pressure techniques on your feet (or hands) to help your body heal itself and rebalance it’s systems.
For specific ailments a series of treatments may be required. However, a treatment can also be a one-off to pamper yourself and try something different. Come and see for yourself.
Location
I work from my home in Huntsbury, Christchurch on Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays. I can do other days / venues on request.
About Me
I was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand. I originally studied Computer Science at Canterbury and Otago University. After which I worked in Auckland, Australia and England in the IT field for major investment banks. In 2006 I realised I had more to give and that IT was no longer for me, so I retrained in Holistic Therapies in the UK. In May 2007 I started doing voluntary work at The Fountain Centre (www.fountaincentre.org ), Royal Surrey County Hospital Guildford, providing reflexology and massage treatments to cancer patients and their carers. In 2009 my family and I returned to Christchurch, New Zealand to live.
