Welcome to Tautoko Solutionz
The name of my Practice is Tautoko Solutionz, I chose it because I felt that it reflected what I wanted to achieve in this Service, to work alongside people rather than apart from them, I also prefer to collaborate with other professionals rather than work in isolation. I believe that to find positive outcomes, it is important to work together. The other aspect of my service is Bicultural Practice. I am trained in both mono cultural and Maori models (and institutions), Bicultural practice (Massey), and I base my work with non Maori colleagues on the Partnership principle of the Treaty of Waitangi.I have a Maori mentor who I consult with and a Clinical Supervisor who guides me in my work. Being ACC and Family Ct registered means I am also able to offer Maori clients a choice, where previously there were no (FC/ACC) registered Maori Practitioners in this region.
I am experienced in counselling in a range of care topics from parenting problems, family therapy to depression and sexual abuse. Part of my practice, is to provide professional support and consultancy services to those who work in the Disability sector and counselling to individuals who in one way or another, are affected by disability.
