Short of visiting the shop in Nelson the next best thing is to visit our website. Founded on 1st October 1995, Aromaflex is NZs first Kiwi owned specialist Aromatherapy shop.
We stock over 99 different varieties of Pure Essential Oils. Over 70% are organic, the rest are wild or Pure & Natural. Some Essential Oils are sourced from local suppliers, having a great "Kiwiana" range of Lavenders and Kanuka and Manuka Oils. Others are sourced from the farm where the Essential Oils are made, and from reputable organic suppliers, sourced from around the world.
Aromatherapy blends are crafted by our own professionally trained Aromatherapists, and are based on research with real life clients over the years. The evidence is with people coming back for more, and giving us feedback and stories about their positive results when using our products.

QUALIFICATION DETAILS
My qualifications are from having trained in Great Britain some 16 years ago. I have had an interest in natural health for over 20 years, and went to London especially to train in natural medicine. When I attended an Introduction to Aromatherapy workshop, (and having smelt the Lavender which took me right back to my Great Grandmother as a child), that was the beginning of a most fulfilling career….Little did I know back then what I would create now..
The evidence of the power of Aromatherapy and the healing benefits of Reflexology really became apparent after the birth of my first child in Scotland. I couldn’t believe how well my pregnancy went, curing my blood pressure in hospital, and not getting any stretchmarks!!
It wasn’t until we came back home to NZ, where we resided at Whitianga on the waterfront, that the rest of the vision came to me. The name Aromaflex came to me one day while I was breastfeeding my second child , looking out over the sea from our wonderful little house that we rented in Simpsons Beach. It means Aroma – Aromatherapy, and Reflex – Reflexology. Later, I worked from the Mercury Bay Pharmacy doing Aromatherapy treatments, and started offering small Introductory courses in Aromatherapy and Reflexology in Thames and Hamilton.
Upon my market research with developing an Aromatherapy shop, I found nothing like it in NZ, or around the world!! I still believe Aromaflex is unique.
